![]() ![]() Once found RIGHT click the file> properties>select Open File Location> rename CombatFS.cfg by placing an “x” in front to temporarily disable it. On the VISTA computer with CFS find the needed file using Start>in the Search box type “COMBATFS.CFG”. In XP find the file using Start>Search>All files and folders… and type in COMBATFS.CFG. ![]() Hi, According to the similar issues occurs on windows vista, the following fix worth a try: If you have access to an XP computer where the joystick worked, copy the CFS file “COMBATFS.CFG” to a flash drive. Any assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated! All the basics have been done and checked like "enable joy stick", joy stick has been calibrated, settings shows joy stick as "OK" and working correctly. However something the tech support said he had never heard of was each time I would click to do anything associated to the joy stick on the homepage of flight simulator a screen would pop up telling me I had changed my joystick settings from "insert crazy sybol here" to "insert second crazy symbol here" and recommends that I reset so I click "yes" and proceed. The PROBLEM IS I can not get the joy stick and the game to talk to each other. I also purchased a new Cyborg X Joy Stick mfg by Saitek which after contacting their tech support was able to locate the proper drivers for the joy stick and according to tests the joy stick is talking correctly with the computer. I have downloaded Combat Flight Simulator WW2 Europe Series and using the keyboard can operate the plane so it seems the disc is compatible with this operating system. I just purchased a Sony VA10 laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium. ![]()
